About

Hey guys, my name is “Al” and I am a lawn care pro. But don’t let that fool you because I am a lawn care fanatic and lawn care nut first and foremost! You know me because there is someone just like me in your neighborhood… “that guy” who loves his lawn so much that be clips it with tweezers and pets it like a fluffy cat! yeah, I am a nut case, and that’s all good for you because what makes my lawn green and thick is found on the pages of this website!

As far as my “credentials” go, I am a licensed pesticide applicator in Indiana and Illinois and have been working on lawns and landscapes since I was 14 years old. I started mowing lawns back then because I there was a cute little girl in my class who I wanted to take to the movies! So I grabbed my dad’s orange Sears push mower and started knocking on doors. The Florida sun was hot on my neck back then, but $10 bucks for 45 minutes of work was great! But I never got the girl! :) :)

Today I work for a super duper big huge lawn care company. I can’t tell you the name because of non-compete issues and also because I am such a nut here that they just wouldn’t want their name associated with my crazy arse! Once again, better for you because my best tips and my crazy antics come across here just for you folks!

This lawn care blog is for homeowners who want the straight info on natural and organic lawn treatments and care. That means that not every I recommend is organic or natural. Yep, being responsible in your lawn care means doing what is necessary and doing it in moderation, simple. That means that there is no extremism here, just straight talk from a pro (that’s me).

Almost every picture here on the site is from my own lawn. I like it that way because it is real. I figure if I am doing “something” on my own lawn, then it will work for you too.

If you’d like to contact me, do so here. I love talking with you guys. But really, the best places to reach me are in the comments section of each article, or on our Facebook page where we have lots of fun and demonstrate our lawn love! (yikes!) I think green lawns make the world a better place, no kidding!
